Trincomalee is located on the east coast of Sri Lanka.  It is the major resort port city of the eastern province and it is one of the oldest cities in Asia.  The recorded history of Trincomalee Beach spans more than two and a half thousand years. Due to this natural harbor Portuguese, Dutch, French, and the British have been occupied as a military garrison.  So this harbor was named Trincomalee Fortress during the Second World War. Trincomalee Beach features a tropical wet and dry climate.  The city features a dry season. March through June and a wet season for the remaining months of the year.  The average temperature in Trincomalee is around 26 degrees Celsius in December and January. And approximately 30 degrees Celsius during the warmest months of the year from April through September.

Another beautiful attractive place is Fort Fredrick also named Trincomalee Fort or Fort of Triquillimale. This fortress was initially constructed here by the Portuguese in 1623 and later built by the Dutch. Today the fortress is using the Sri Lankan military, you are able to explore most of the fort by foot or car. In there, you can also see a small number of spotted deer grazing under huge banyan trees.
