‘Hills In Mist’ tour is an 9 days tour which cover main tourist destination for trekkers like Knuckles mountain range, Adam’s Peak, the little Adam’s Peak, Horton Plains and the Worlds End. You will find some of the highlights below.
On arrival at the Bandaranaike International airport, you will be warmly greeted by your very own chauffeur guide and transferred to your hotel in Negombo.
After breakfast you will be driven to Kitulgala “the rafter’s paradise” by Sanki Leisure Chauffeur. Here you will have two choices. One is rafting up to 3 rapids (all equipment provided), Second is if you are a bird lover, you may go for a small trek to do bird watching. After your activity you will be able to taste the authentic Sri Lankan lunch.
After Kitulgala you will proceed to Dalhousie (Approx. 2 Hours) to Witness the Adam’s peak. Pack the most essential items to travel light and get ready to climb one of the most sacred places in Sri Lanka. Climbing Adam’s Peak starts at mid night with a mixture of inline trekking and around 5,500 steps will be on your way to the top. On your way to the top you will find places to rest as well as to buy your refreshments. As it gets darker the cold weather will refresh your body.
Witness the beauty that nature has created when sun rises from through the cliffs around creating a picturesque view. You will also be able to see the shadow of the mountain falls on to the west. On your way back you will witness beautiful landscapes.
Once reaching to hotel pack your things and get ready to visit your next destination. Sanki Leisure Chauffeur will transfer you to Nuwara Eliya (Approx. 2 ½ hrs drive). En route to Nuwara Eliya you can visit tea plantations and factories. Today more than 200,000 hectares in highlands and other areas are under Tea and around 300 million Kilograms, with a 25% of world tea exports are done by Sri Lanka as the World’s second largest tea exporter.

After breakfast, start your day with a city tour of “The Little England” Nuwara Eliya with the guide of your Chauffeur including the Golf course, Victoria Park, & Gregory Lake. Surrounded by hills and tea plantations, the town of Nuwara Eliya enjoys spring-like weather throughout the year. You will also witness the old colonial type buildings garlanded with beautiful gardens. While you are in Nuwara Eliya don’t forget to visit Hakgala Botanical Garden one of the five botanical gardens and is the second largest in Sri Lanka. Established in 1884 currently holds a wide range of Roses, Orchids and much more. You will also be able to visit the Sitha Amman Temple.
Get ready for a smooth and cold overnight stay.
Start your day with a nice cup of tea served to your room and have an early breakfast. It’s better to be there early at your next location, the Horton Plains. The main tourist attraction is the World’s End. A sheer cliff with an 870 m (2,854 ft.) drop. You will locate it at the southern boundary of the park. Initially called as “Maha Eliya Thenna” (The great Plain) it was named “Horton plains” after Sir Robert Wilmot-Horton, a former British governor of ancient Ceylon. The Plane is one of the World Heritage Site named by UNESCO.
Next stop is Ella. A city filled with beautiful backdrops of mountains and waterfalls. Check in at a hotel with a breathtaking view and allow you to rest for the day

Step out of the hotel after breakfast to see a beautiful waterfall Ella is famous for, The “Ravana Falls”. Falling from a 25 meters height Ravana Falls will look like a white silk drape and if you are lucky you will be able to get a bath from its dazzling dew. Named after the legendary king Ravana, from a famous epic, “the Ramayana”, this waterfall is one of the most visited place in Sri Lanka both foreign and local crowd.
Little Adam’s peak will be your next trek after Adam’s Peak. Because of its shape the Little Adam’s Peak was named after Adam’s Peak which is 1,141 meters high. It has a good path and an easy one to climb. Unless you want your back to be dead numb by the end of the day, travel light and dress warm. The walk up will be quite spectacular.
Once you are back hit to a hot shower and get ready for a good night sleep.
Next stop will be the city of Kandy, another Sri Lanka’s World Heritage site named by UNESCO. The Former “Senkadagala” the last kingdom of ancient Sri Lanka now known as Kandy is where Load Gauthama Buddha’s relic of the tooth rests. In order to reach to this destination Sanki Leisure will use the Sri Lanka Railway.(Depending on availability upon booking) The train leaves early in the morning therefore you will have to be on time. This train ride is renowned as one of the most beautiful ride in the world which will take around 7 hours to reach Kandy. Sanki Leisure Chauffeur will be waiting at Kandy Railway Station along with your carefully secured heavy luggage to pick you up. You will be at a hotel after dinner.
After breakfast, put on your trekking shoes and get ready to trek at knuckles mountains range. Sanki Leisure Chauffer will take you closer to the range where the journey to be continued by foot through beautiful surrounding mountains and fields and villages starting from 1 ½ to 7 kilometers (Your choice).
After returning from the range, take a little break. In the evening you will be able to visit the Temple of Sacred Tooth and the Cultural show.

After a late breakfast, hit to the street to do some shopping. Sanki Leisure Chauffeur will take you through the City of Kandy to visit Batik center, Wood carving factory, a Gem shop and gem lapidary and an Arts and craft center. You will have wide variety of clothing, jewelries, hand crafts and much more to choose from.
Next is to Colombo the commercial capital of Sri Lanka. On your way visit Elephant Orphanage where you can witness more Asian elephants in one location. The number of elephants has increased to more than 65 now including baby elephants. En route visit a Spice garden in Mawanalla. For centuries, spices have been one of Sri Lanka’s most celebrated exports and are used for not only food but also medicines and cosmetics.
City of Colombo, probably the best place to do shopping while you walk around the city. Colombo city tour which includes busy bazaar area, Kovils, Temples, Independence square, BMICH ETC,
